Picis Continues to Expand Customer Base within European Healthcare Market
Picis to exhibit latest software releases at upcoming European congresses
BARCELONA, Spain — May 30, 2007 — Picis, Inc., an established global provider of high-acuity care information systems, today released a summary of European customer expansions and contract signings for the first half of 2007. Picis is also scheduled to exhibit its CareSuite™ product line for anesthesia, recovery and critical care at the Spanish Society of Intensive Care and Coronary Critical Units (SEMICYUC) in Madrid (Picis booth number 24), June 3-6 and the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) in Munich (Picis booth number 128, Hall B1), June 9-12.
First half of 2007 European highlights:
- Hospital d'Inca and Hospital de Maó, new hospitals within the regional healthcare authority of the Balearic Islands, Spain, purchased CareSuite Critical Care Manager to provide clinicians with quick and complete online patient information to help in their assessment and treatments, maximize resources in the department and analyze and reduce costs. They contracted with Picis due to the successful implementation at Hospital of Son Llàtzer.
- Hospital de Sâo Joâo, the second largest hospital in Portugal, currently uses CareSuite Anesthesia Manager, Critical Care Manager and PACU Manager across their high-acuity care areas. The 1100-bed hospital has expanded their implementation to additional critical care areas and 120 workstations.
- Klinikum Landshut, the largest hospital in the Landshut region in Bavaria, Germany and a long-time Picis customer, is upgrading to the latest version of CareSuite Critical Care Manager.
- Frederickshavn Hospital, located in Denmark, is deinstalling its legacy documentation system and replacing it with CareSuite PACU Manager.
- Toolo Sairaala, a hospital which is part of the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS), Finland's largest regional healthcare authority, will extend CareSuite Anesthesia Manager, PACU Manager and Critical Care Manager to additional workstations. This automation project is an integral part of Finland's nationwide enterprise patient record program.
